Fluke Baseline Thermal Imaging Software allows users to fulfill all their thermal imaging job needs. The first cloud- and subscription-based thermography software, Baseline is a web app that allows users easy access from any smart device without installing a desktop app. Baseline has the image optimizing and analyzing features of SmartView™ and the reporting capabilities of Fluke Connect™. It is designed with thermography technicians and their workflow, beginning to end, in mind.
Users can manage thousands of thermal images from their Fluke thermal camera (supported cameras listed below). They can select desired images from the image manager and use image analysis to optimize, analyze, and label the status of the asset featured in the image. Once the images are ready, the user can create a report, or add them to an existing report. Completed reports can be downloaded and delivered for review. The best part is: these features are all included in the free version of Baseline.
Managing and organizing IR images
After taking hundreds of thermal images, technicians often spend hours manually organizing these images through folders or other filing methods. With Baseline, users can upload images and easily sort them based on when the photo is taken. All the images are organized in one place.
Optimizing and analyzing IR images
Users can adjust images with optimization tools such as level and span or color palettes to fine-tune an image for efficient analysis. Baseline's IR image analysis offers markers, reference temperature, and Delta T, which allows detailed analysis of abnormalities. The user-centric UI adopts technicians’ workflow from optimization to analysis, and finally to adding notes as a brief assessment of the image. At the end of the user’s analysis, he or she can update the status of the image.
Creating thermal inspection reports
The final, but vital, step to document all the work completed on the job is through a thermal inspection report. Users commonly spend hours making a reporting template and filling it out. With Baseline, thermography technicians can add images to a report that automatically updates with all the optimization, analysis, and notes already done in the previous steps. Continue adding and editing the draft report until the user is ready to complete and export the final report.

| How to access image analysis | To access image analysis, the user needs to first select one or multiple images from image management. Once the images are selected, an option appears called “Image Actions” that can take the user to edit the image(s), delete the image(s), batch edit, or clear selection. |
| Batch-Edit | This feature allows users to select up to 9 images and edit them at the same time. As mentioned above, the Batch Edit feature can be accessed under the Image Actions button. Users can select Palettes, Markers (hide/ unhide), PIP Mode, and adjust the IR Fusion and Level and Span. |
| Optimize | 1. Auto Scale—Auto Scale is selected by default in Optimize, which sets the Level and Span bar to the recommended range. 2. Level and Span—Users can adjust the Level and Span by unselecting Auto Scale and adjusting the range of the temperatures on the IR viewer. 3. IR (infrared) viewer—This displays the thermal images/infrared images at the center of the screen. 4. IR Fusion—Allows users to adjust how much of the visual image they want to see from the IR Viewer 5. PIP Mode—Allows users to zoom out of the IR image to see the full image 6. Palette—Users can select different color palettes based on their preferences. | How to access reports | Users can create a Report by clicking on the “Add to Report” button in the image analysis screen for any image they are editing. To see draft or completed Report(s), the user can click on the “Report” at the top of the screen. |
| Draft report view | • Add images—User is taken back to the image management screen. • Cover page—The prefilled information such as Site Name, Performed On, Performed By, Author, and Date are auto-filled. User needs to add Company Name and Summary as needed. • List of images—All images added to the Report will be listed with the image name. By clicking on the image name, the users are taken to the image details page on the Report. They need to fill out Location, Equipment, and Reason/Rec- ommendation. They can see the Status, Image Date, Images, Analysis details, and Image Info. The user can delete the image by clicking on the trash icon next to the image name under the list of images. • Mark as Complete—Users should only click on this if they are DONE with the Report. Once the Report is completed, it moves to the Completed Reports section and cannot be reedited. • Download as pdf—At any stage of the Report the user can download the Report as a pdf. |

If no Reports are created, then the user will see no draft Reports under this section.
