Portable automatic pressure calibrator simplifies pressure calibration
The Fluke 729 Automatic Pressure Calibrator has been designed specifically with process technicians in mind to simplify the pressure calibration process and provide faster, more accurate test results. Technicians know that calibrating pressure can be a time-consuming task, but the 729 makes it easier than ever with an internal electric pump that provides automatic pressure generation and regulation in an in an easy-to-use, rugged, portable package.
The ideal portable pressure calibrator, the 729 allows you to simply type in a target pressure, and the calibrator will automatically pump to the desired set-point. Then, internal fine adjustment control automatically stabilizes the pressure at the requested value.
The Fluke 729 can also automatically test multiple pressure test points and automatically document the results. Calibration is as easy as typing in the starting and ending pressure and the number of test points and tolerance level. The 729 does the rest.
Built-in HART communication capabilities enable HART transmitter mA adjustments, light HART configuration and the ability to adjust to applied 0% and 100% values.
Upload and manage documented calibration results with DPCTrack2™ Calibration Management Software, making it easy to manage your instrumentation, create scheduled tests and reports, and manage calibration data.

Is there a way to create a custom calibration task. ie. Make a pressure switch test that will perform a decreasing pressure test to check a PSL setpoint, and also repeat the task 3 times for repeatability. Please do not direct me to contact tech support.
With the Fluke 729 Automatic Pressure Calibrator you can only create a task with an increasing pressure switch test.

How do you calibrate a low pressure switch with the 729? You can set an increasing pressure for a high pressure switch but I can't figure out how to set a decreasing pressure setpoint.

When connecting an external 750 pressure module, will the calibrator still perform the auto pump functionality if the external pressure module is of lower pressure than the pump. ex. switch test using 0-1PSI external pressure module.
Yes, the 729 30G calibrator can perform the auto pump functionality, but will need an external hand pump to test lower pressures if using the 729 150G or 729 300G.

So we have to physically take the battery out to charge it. 3rd year the pump failed. Big price tag to fix it. Told us there was dirt in it. For the price tag these units should be more robust and not fail due to a little dust. This unit looks brand new still and I can assure you it does not get dirty. User beware

Rated 4 out of 5 by PatC from Love the unit however it has a bug Great piece of gear for the low psi transducers we have and need to calibrate. Really good gear for quick and nimble Changes.
One beef I have with this unit is when we try to upload the reports. It will convert our output signal to amps instead mA throwing the tolerance out by 50000%
Makes all our tests fail when they passed in the field.
Fluke told us it's a bug. It's preventing us buying another unit.

Rated 1 out of 5 by IC Tech from Slow pump I agree with previous review the pump is really slow. Even doing 150psi and when I tested 2 150psi switches it shutdown. I’m positive I wasn’t leaking. Basically after testing 3 switches it took me an hour for a 15min nitrogen bottle test for all 3. For low pressure rosemount transmitters it did awesome. Just not $8k awesome to me. It’s not really practical for a plant application. Also it doesn’t test AC only DC.

Rated 1 out of 5 by terry from super slow pump The pump is way to slow to do many calibrations in a day. To go from 0 to 300 psi is about 4 to 5 minutes. Also the test terminals on a Rosemount transmitter the m/a does not read correctly at full scale, you must be in series.
