The Fluke VT04A Visual IR Thermometer is designed to help you see it all. You can see issues in context by blending the infrared heat map with a visual image. You can easily identify the exact location of the potential issue by blending the two at 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% infrared with one button. View aligned images from as close as 15 cm (6 in) in NEAR mode or from a distance in FAR mode.
The VT04 also helps you take accurate temperature readings without taking your eyes off the screen. Fill the center box with your target and rest assured you're measuring the target and not the background.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Wayne brieske from Proof that Photos Work I have used the VT04 multiple times for a large variety of issues. The best find yet that I needed to get swift action was when I discovered clogged cooling lines in a Molten Metal Quench that would otherwise have been difficult to impossible to discover without a line shutdown (not scheduled for a further 6 months). The photos I took with this tool allowed me to get a delay scheduled long enough between production runs to correct the issue.
Can not over state how useful this tool is to the process of maintaining successful production.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Fridgeguy from One big disappointing feature I bought mine a couple of months ago. It's great to show a client the playback photo of issues with breaker panels, bearings and Automated equipment insulation breakdown. Unfortunately I use Mac so I can't provide reports for clients as Fluke is Microsoft only. That was disappointing from a technology company and seems ignorant on their part but they live in the Microsoft neighbourhood.

Rated 4 out of 5 by MCSPatrick from Great 1st Step into Thermography I purchased the VT04 in December of 2013. It has worked very well over this time. I've used it for finding problems with my customers power-entry panels, infrared heaters, and it has also helped me find problems in insulating my garage. I just wish Fluke would come up with an SD Card adapter that I can use with my iPhone 5!
