Product overview: Fluke 287 True-RMS Electronics Logging Multimeter
Now compatible with Fluke Connect® Mobile App
The Fluke 287 True-rms Electronics Logging Multimeter with TrendCapture quickly documents design performance and graphically displays what happened. Its unique logging and graphing capabilities mean you no longer need to download logged readings to a PC to detect a trend. The Fluke 287 packs more accuracy and convenience into a handheld multimeter than ever before:
- Zoom on trend provides unprecedented ability to view and analyze TrendCapture data; zoom in up to 14 times.
- Selectable AC filter (smoothing mode) helps display a steadier reading when the input signal is changing rapidly or noisy.
- Adjustable recording and auto hold thresholds, specify a percentage change in the readings that begins a new event.
- Large 50,000 count, 1/4 VGA display with white backlight. Multiple sets of measurement information can be simultaneously displayed at the same time.
- Logging function with expanded memory for unattended monitoring of signals over time. Using on-board TrendCapture users can graphically review logged readings without needing a PC. Store up to 15,000 recorded events.
- On board help screens for measurement functions.
- Saved measurements allow you to name and recall measurements made in the field.
- Multi-lingual interface.
- Multiple logging sessions possible without download.
- 0.025% basic DC accuracy.
- 100 kHz AC bandwidth.
- Real time clock for automatic time stamping of saved readings.
- True-RMS AC voltage and current for accurate measurements on complex signals or non-linear loads. AC bandwidth specified to 100 kHz.
- Measure up to 10 A (20 A for 30 seconds).

Rated 5 out of 5 by OPisMe from Love the logging feature I love all of my fluke meters... I will have to admit I don't use this meter anywhere close to its limits... But I do use the recording feature often... I can find pesky fading voltages that usually check fine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by gridley from Frequency measurement Great meter and espically useful is the frequency measurement when working with wind and soil moisture probes. However the ir3000 FC is a grave disapointment. Requiring a login and internet connection makes it completely worthless to me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bear2016 from Great Fetures and great useability This meter has been perfect for troubleshooting sensor glitches on the production line. This meter is designed perfectly for trouble shooting and can help reduce wastefully changing good parts on the lines. I should of gotten this meter sooner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Windman from Great Meter for Pros or Entry Level Very accurate meter for basic functions like voltage & resistance, but also very useful for logging and other more complex functions. Works great for general industrial troubleshooting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Country from Rugged I use this daily on the Pipeline ROW. It has so far taken what I can throw at it and keep on going. The large screen and easy to manipulate controls as well as the intuitive menu allows me to perform my job efficiently.

Rated 5 out of 5 by aroom from Best meter I have owned I have always bought the cheaper meters. This was the first time I purchased a very expensive meter. So glad I did. It is big and heavy so it may not be for carrying around. The screen is large and this gives you every option you can think of for your data. The capture data function is great for logging the movement of voltage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SavageCircuits from My new favorite multimeter! I was looking for a meter with the resolution and range to get accurate readings from the low-power devices I typically work with day to day such as microcontrollers, sensors and other devices. This is the first meter I have used which was able to get accurate microamp current measurements. All the other features were just icing on the cake! The TrendCapture was something I didn't have before but now couldn't live without. And the battery level indicator is a nice touch. Too much more to talk about in such a small space. Rated 5 out of 5 by Charlie from Great product, outstanding quality I've owned my Fluke 289 for 5 years now, it's been calibrated annually and comes back within 1% of factory every time. I use it for work, around the house, the car, even used it to determine if my freezer was beginning to fail but don't loan it out. I got it with the graphing software but the DMM graphs are good enough for me. The only other meter I use is a loop calibrator and would have loved to have that included in the 289.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BORS from No cons! Just pro's! Have the Fluke 289... In short: One fantastic instrument - tool! It's like an electronic Swiss knife. Brilliant design, great feel and ever time I use it I smile. And that is daily. ;-# !
By the way...; they have indeed a battery indicator... ;-) #Top left of their screen.)
Thank you Fluke - great work!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kenstar40 from An awesome too for the pro! The Fluke 287 has been in my tool case for a long time. I have the calibration checked twice a year and it's always dead on. I have compared other brands side by side with my Fluke 287 and every other one is off by as little as 2% and as much as 13% from what my Fluke shows. If you are serious about accuracy and details, the Fluke is the clear choice! The only way to go is Fluke.
