Rated 5 out of 5 by Sensiman12 from Best clamp meter I've been in the Hvac industry for about 15 years. After numerous purchases of other meters I finally went with the fluke 902 meter for Hvac professionals. By far has been the best meter I've found to date. Only replaced it once in the first year due to the temp portion being out of calibration. Fluke advised they repair by replacement and allowed my local distributor to do so so I wouldn't be without. This has been the best meter I've ever owned. It's accuracy is bar none with others out there and have since bought multiple tools from them to aid in my diagnostics of equipment. Thank you for the great customer service and excellent products to assist in my field.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Brownbz from Couldn't be any better! I am on my second 902.. (1st one was stolen) but I have never owned a meter that was more solid, I do HVAC, and all together I've had the meter(s) for about 6 years, and never skipped a beat, been dropped off ladders, rained on, lost in attics for a few hours, it doesn't have all kind of features that usually confuses me, lol. but I don't need them. I am yet to come across something where I would need another function. It was tough shelling out 300+ on it!the first time, but after buying fieldPOS every few months an electrician told me to try this, the meter feels very solid, not cheap and flimsy. The pipe clamp you can buy is also very accurate. This one meter has made me buy fluke everything(that I can afford!! Lol) good job fluke. Hoping to get me the 902FC for Christmas!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Hvacguru23 from may the force be with you! I've had my 902 for about 6 years now, it's been dropped from ladders, submerged in water and left in the back of a cold van on numerous occasions and always turns on immediately and works as good as day the day I purchased it. Buying a HVAC oriented multi meter in today's market can be quit like buying a car now, with so many different manufactures and prices it can be a hard decision to make to say the least. For all the features this meter provides and the long lasting craftsmanship from fluke this purchase was a no brainer and I wish I hadn't spent so much money before on junk HVAC meters, the only reason I gave this meter 4 out of 5 stars was due to the fact that it doesn't have a magnet or accessory port for a magnetic strap i.e. Similar to the 116 model bench meter. And the ohms scale should be higher, other than that this fluke skywalker has saved me time and money on numerous occasions and I look forward to using it for years to come.

Rated 4 out of 5 by acts mechanical from needs broader range of resistance reading great meter, but lacking one thing. ohm value scale too low, will not test potentiometers on most pieces of equipment

Rated 4 out of 5 by fitterj from 3rd 902 great meter for a hvac tech, capacitor checking very handy. hold button can be in the way, ohms at 10k doesn't match industry. would really like a 25k.ahve had 3 and would buy again. 25 yrs ex. very good product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Kevin63 from Good meter, great customer service I purchased a HVAC combo kit with a 902 clamp meter and laser thermometer. I had them for about a year when the 902 quit working in clamp on amp mode. I contacted customer service, and sent the meter back. Within a week I received not a rebuilt meter, but a brand new one with a case ( the original didn't come with one)I was very impressed with the way they stand behind their product. In the future, all of my meters will be Fluke.

Rated 4 out of 5 by BakersfieldThermalUnits from HANDS DOWN the best and most abused meter i own i bought this meter maybe 4 or 5 years ago and its all original. works just as well as the first day i got it. it is the most used (every single day) and abused meter i own, and at the end of the day it ask for more. It has most of the functions i need everyday (besides mA measurements, and a kind of low max resistance of 9999 [i work with a lot of 10k and 20k temp sensors]) and is extremely accurate. I always recommend this meter to anybody i work with. The reason i gave it 4 stars is because of the above mentioned mA measurement and low resistance , and the shortfall of how and where you can put your meter while in use. like some of the competition like fieldpiece(and i use the term "competition" loosly), have a type of magnet so you hang the meter and have 2 free hands to take measurements, and also have a spot on the body of the meter towards the top, preferably on the side, to attach one of the leads, so you can take measurements and see what the readings are and not have to readjust and look away. besides those (im picky with my tools) areas, its the best meter for the hvac field mechanic...

Rated 1 out of 5 by WPCinc from Calibration? Calibration Information manual contains no calibration information other than "return to Fluke". I did not spend $22,000 for my 5500A's so that I could do performance tests! Return to Fluke? A Clamp Meter is now proprietary? Come on, guys! As a calibration service provider, I won't recommend products to my customers unless I can service them. The guys that use these meters need them serviced on-site and are not likely to send them out for certification.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Keith from Can't test a 10K sensor! How do we call a meter an HVAC meter when we can't test a 10,000 ohm sensor the most common HVAC control sensor?

the 10k ohm meter range is not high enough.

Rated 4 out of 5 by MikeinSTL from A good overall tool. . .almost perfect I've had the 902 for a few years as a replacement to my fluke 16. The amp clamp is a good addition to the meter. It is simple to use, even better than the 16 as the thumb wheel gets you to the setting you want quickly. My only two complaints about the meter it is not as rugged as the fluke 16 ( that thing was bomb proof) as the rubber grip on the amp jaw lever has come off and the wheel has given me problems ocasionally locking up. The other complaint is that it does not read DC milivolts and if you are trying to measure thermocouples this meter can not measure them. The 902 has been a good meter but wont take to much punishment. As such mine has finally bit the dust and I will be looking for a meter that has all the features of the 902 but can read milivolts. If reading milivolts is not a feature you need then this will be a good meter for you. PS the case didn't hold up as well as the fluke 16's case either.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MrNick from You will never regret buying a Fluke meter Have had many fluke products over the years and none of them have disappointed me. Counter slaesmen sometimes try and sell me a cheaper brand but I can't bring myself to buy one, knowing the Fluke meter is most likely the better value. The 902 lets me carry just the one meter in my bag and working mostly on RTUs one less thing to bring onto the roof is a good thing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Brian10161 from Good meter I've been in HVAC industry for about 6 years now and have used an assortment of meters. I like the 902 for the fast voltage and capacitance readings (most other meters take a long time to read). That being said, there are a few things that could be improved upon.
- A DC MV range would be great for checking thermocouples.
- 0.01 resolution for amperage would be awesome (like the 322)
- And a higher Ohm range. 10K ohm is not very useful. Have found a couple grounded compressors the meter couldn't pick up (checked with my 116 and got about 22M Ohm to ground).
- Perhaps a dedicated K type thermocouple input for temperature.
Those are the only things I would like to see improved, otherwise this meter is a great tool to have. I like having the quality and accuracy of FLUKE in my tool pouch.
