Rated 5 out of 5 by dansamga from Great Package This meter adds a great deal of features for those moving up from the 87 true RMS product line or similar products. The min/max logging combined with software and logging feature allows troubleshooting in intermittent problem situations. Additions of capacitance and multi line display that is menu driven makes using this meter easy for anyone who understand electronics. Well worth the extra money to get an advanced meter!

Rated 5 out of 5 by allendwebb from Fluke 289 - Excellent Meter! The Fluke 289 True RMS Multimeter is an excellent and versatile meter. This meter does everything you would except and has proven to be easy to use and intuitive. The backlight display is an excellent feature. Data logging and a wide variety of information screens and settings are very useful. The included magnetic strap has proven helpful time and again for holding the meter to have both hands in use holding the probes. Additional probes and accessories for this meter have all been very helpful and well worth the money spent. Summary: A very solid, versatile, and capable meter well worth the money. Highly recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Drew the mechanic from Excellent for Intermittent Issues Purchased this meter to specifically track an intermittent issue with a 24 volt I/O problem dropping out. Left this unit inside the cabinet for 24 hours and after capturing the data and looking at it on my laptop, I was able to then pin point the exact issue. Meter also works great for everyday tasks of checking voltage, fuses, and other drive related issues in the plant. Unit comes with a great bag with a heavy duty zipper to contain all of the components and even after multiple uses I am able to fit everything back into it easily.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Firebirdv8 from Great multimeter I have now had my 289 for a few years now and it has never let me down. The number of features this meter has is amazing. Even now I'll find it has a capability I didn't know it had. I work as an avionics tech and the logging capability really comes in handy for recording results in a hard to reach place and having to work a switch in completely different area of an aircraft. It saves me from having to get another tech and handheld radios to test a system. Now that I have the Fluke Connect adapter its even easier to do this kind of work. Besides the logging and the addition of the Fluke Connect module, it has typical Fluke quality construction and accuracy. It has been calibrated at least 5 times now and there hasn't been any issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hugh from I would never buy a different multimeter I love this multimeter, its accuracy is unmatched compare dot any other meter I have used and works very well for component testing. I love the loads of features it comes with as well as the huge expandability for testing and add on parts. I purchased this multimeter when there was promotions going on but it still would be worth every penny otherwise. Flukes promotions are awesome though. Logging functionality on this meter is really cool too. I also use the Wireless FC adapter that can interface with bluetooth on a PC or on a phone which is great for testing where leads won't bring the meter to your view. Anyway, if your looking for a feature packed meter - buy this one.
