Rated 2 out of 5 by from Deg-F Readings Have Significant Rounding Error The temperature measurements from the 975 are fine if working in Celsius but if reading in Fahrenheit then there is a documented limitation in the firmware for the 975 that is worth knowing about. The 975 measures with 0.1 degree Kelvin accuracy but then this reading is stored as an integer instead of floating point value and there is then a rounding error introduced when converting to deg-F. Within the range of typical HVAC applications, know that you may have about a 0.5 deg-F error in the displayed reading if using Fahrenheit because instead of multiplying by 1.8 (formula is DegF = DegK - 273.15) x 1.8 + 32) the 975 divides by 5, rounds this off, then multiplies by 9 and rounds off again. So, a reading that should be 80.33 degF with floating point (e.g. accurate) math is 79.7 degF using integer math. After taking exception to the Fahrenheit readings from our 975 over a number of years I brought this issue to Fluke's attention. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a fix and it was suggested to use the Celsius readings for better accuracy (since there is no 1.8 multiplier that leads to the lack of accuracy).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use and realiable The whole process was awesome from research product information on the website to working with the sales staff to order just what we needed. We got our product in just a couple of days. It started paying for itself right out of the box by allowing us to start doing our own in-house testing. The money we save by testing in-house for IAQ we can use to buy other test equipment.
